5 cool date ideas this week 17/12 – 23/12

If you are looking for a bit of Christmas nostalgia for your date this weekend, we’ve got you covered! Be it a Christmas panto, a classical performance of the Nutcracker, or something completely on the other end of the spectrum like a DIY Christmas Neon Light making class. This is the last weekend to wow your dates before Christmas, so we’re here to help you make it a good-un!

He’s Behind You!!!

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a trip to the Pantomime! This age-old British tradition literally never tires! Filled with cheeky innuendos, fantastically colourful stage sets, the hero, the villain, the dame, it seems you can still shout “Look Behind You!” as enthusiastically now as you could aged 10!!! While there are various performances of different pantomimes all over London, the London Palladium’s Snow White is the piece de la resistance.

Cue the Lights

One of the most magical of all the capital’s Christmas events must be Chiswick House After Dark! Enchanting at the best of times, the Christmas lights will put you on a pedestal with your date this weekend! An after dark trail through magnificent grounds of this very special place shows Chiswick House in a whole new light – excuse the pun!

And It Was All Neon…

If you love God’s Own Junkyard in Walthamstow as much as we do, then you’ll love this event! A DIY neon sign making Christmas special. Why make a Christmas wreath out of foliage, when you could craft your own neon lighting extravaganza with GBI at Eccleston Yards Christmas Lodge this Thursday and Wednesday 26th December.

B b b b bring on the Bailey’s

Let’s face it, other than mulled wine, the only other drink you associate with Christmas is a good old Bailey’s. For those of you out there with a sweet tooth, this one is for you. For the festive season only, Bailey’s have created an awesome alpine lodge style pop-up featuring a scrumptious salted caramel espresso martini, the classic Bailey’s hot chocolate and this year they have a vegan hot choc, truly something for everyone – except the sugar Scrooge’s of you out there!

A Royal Flush

The other end of the spectrum to Snow White, The Royal Ballet is taking over the Royal Opera House and putting on a stunning performance of The Nutcracker. You’ll be humming the music for the remainder of the festive period and will be left dazzled after gazing at the incredible dancing of this spectacular performance.
