Magic Lantern Festival
This one just sounds lovely, why would you not want to check it out?! Now running for it’s third year, the festival illuminates the Chiswick Gardens with an assortment of lanterns in every size and shape you can imagine! The gardens also host entertainment with food and drink a plenty and even has a Santa’s grotto and fairground rides! Gain massive sophisticated date points for this one!
House of Vans Presents: Chroma
Carrying on the theme of light-filled extravaganzas but now in a grittier, urban setting. If you don’t fancy heading out to Chiswick, choose instead to make your way to the Tunnel 1 Gallery in Waterloo. We highly recommend you check out House of Vans collaboration with Studio PSK to bring you immersive light and play installations where they’ve created an interactive show that’s a feast for all of your senses. And there’s a giant ball pit to boot. This sounds so cool. Free entry and it starts this Wednesday!

The Illustration Fair
Just in case all the festive themed activities are already proving too much for you, head towards the Oxo Tower from Friday to Sunday to check out the brilliant London Illustration Fair. Feast on four floors of illustration, printmaking and design. The even have live and interactive games for you to throw yourself in to with a whole floor dedicated to them! Of course there will be a fully stocked…dare I say it…festive bar.
