We might have gotten a little carried away with the Christmas activities last week, so we’ve reigned it is a little this week. That said there are still a few festive fancies for you to get involved in! We’ve got a world first from the V&A and it’ll excite all those of you who’ve already bought tickets to Ready Player 2, for those of you who haven’t you’ll want to get in there quick after reading this week’s blog!

Big Up Box Park

The urban-ister foodie hub Box Park are opening their latest location in Wembley this weekend. It is set to be the coolest launch yet. The venue design itself will feature Box Park’s iconic trailer designs turned street food venders. They’ve teamed up with Rinse FM and will have some banging tunes from an awesome DJ line up, oh and proceeds from the launch this weekend go to OnSide Youth Zones, helping young Londoners.

Christmas at the Palace

For this weekend only the enchanting Hampton Court Palace will be transformed into a winter wonderland. Set in the Palace’s magical courtyard and grounds, you’ll be able to shop, eat and drink to your hearts content. There will be cooking demonstrations, carol singers and other entertainment to get you in the festive spirit – if you aren’t already!

London Film Week

Oozing all the Hollywood glamour you’d expect, the Regent Street Cinema will be playing host to London Film Week this week. Showing one short film and one feature length film every evening this week, the London Film Festival aims to raise awareness and promote the various aspects of international cinema in all its forms.

Maltby Street Market: Christmas Edition

The Victorian arches of Bermondsey that hold the marvellous Maltby Street Market every Saturday, will be turning on their twinkling fairy lights for a festive edition. With Christmas Carols and Mulled Wine a plenty, you’ll want to go with an empty stomach to save space for the Christmas culinary delights of the Christmas Night Market.

Video Games at the V&A

Not a sentence you’d ever expect to hear… but this innovative museum just keeps getting better! Coinciding perfectly with the launch of our vintage video game dating event Ready Player 2 early next year. The V&A’s exhibition offers a sneaky peak into the revolutionary behind the scenes work, that goes into making the many contemporary video games that we know and love!
