We hope you all had a sparkling week last week and are still enjoying the occasional crack, whizz and bang of the ongoing fireworks celebrations. We’ve got an awesome line up for you this week including a pop-up Christmas market, prison themed bar experience and what to do to commemorate the centenary of WWI.
You may or may not be patriotic, but London is going to be pretty moving this weekend as we celebrate 100 years since the end of the First World War. The Tower of London has once again put on a magnificent show as 10,000 torches fill the moat surrounding it. Every evening until Sunday 11th November a team of Military personnel including the Beefeaters will be lighting the torches accompanied by a sound installation of signing and poetry.
For the super organised of you out there looking to get your Christmas shopping done early, then the NotOnTheHightStreet Christmas Pop-Up is going to be the one for you. 200 NOTHS sellers will be descending on Waterloo Station from 2nd – 22nd November, so you can have pick up a pressie every day of the week on your commute to and from work.
London’s first ever ESCAPE ROOM DATING EVENT is happening in this December! Technically not happening this week…… But we only have a few tickets left! Breakin’ Escape Rooms offer the most immersive Escape Rooms in London and they will be hosting this Smudged Lipstick debut. Let’s face it there is no better way to get to know someone than being stuck in a room with them is there?!
You won’t want to be let out of Alcotraz! With a suitably criminal collection of cocktails made from the spirit of your choice. You bring the booze and the infamous bootlegger Clyde Cassidy will provide the mixers and show you the ropes. Alcotraz is an immersive theatrical bar, think orange boiler suits, heavy clanging keys and those iconic metal barred cells, without a doubt a recipe for a cracking night!
Do you remember when the iconic mass of decorated pumpkins by Yayoi Kusama filled our Instagram feeds? Well, she’s back! Never ceasing to amaze us, Yayoi at nearly 90 years old has created another mind-blowing exhibition at the Victoria Miro Gallery including painted bronze flowers and an infinity mirrored room.
Until next week…..
