10 Great London Beer Gardens Ready to Explode in April 2021

If April 12th isn’t already etched into your brain, well, it soon will be as the UK readies itself for the openings of pubs nationwide. Sure, hairdressers, spas, gyms and other important places of interest are reopening as well – but it’s beer gardens and rooftops that are really capturing the imagination.

So, with this in mind, we wanted to look at 10 great London beer gardens that are ready to explode in April 2021 as the “rule of 6” kicks back into gear.

ONE: The Duke of Edinburgh, Brixton

Brixton institution, The Duke of Edinburgh is famous for its beer garden. Lazy cider-filled Sunday sessions were always a staple diet in a pre-Covid world.  Bookings of 6 people or less are now being taken early for dates between the 12th of April and the 16th of May, so you may want to get in quickly….

TWO: Neverland Fulham

Otherwise known as Fulham Beach, London’s Thames-side answer to Nikki Beach is roaring back in April with a number of cool activities. Bookings are already filling up in April from £9 with a number of dates and activities already sold out!

THREE: The Faltering Fullback, Finsbury Park

Anyone who fancy’s a pint in one of North London’s finest will be able to chance their arm just like everyone else. The Faltering Fullback in Finsbury Park doesn’t do table bookings, so expect a scrum on the 12th of April which is somewhat apt for the famous rugby pub!

FOUR: The Ship, Wandsworth

More south London love! The (world famous?) Ship in Wandsworth is taking bookings for the 12th of April onwards. If you had to choose one beer garden to grab a pint in on the first day restrictions are relaxed…. This could be it!

FIVE: The Rose and Crown, Ealing

For those further west, the Rose and Crown in Ealing is already taking bookings. This Fuller’s Pub that’s also great for food will no doubt be packed when restrictions ease.

SIX: The Beehive, Tottenham

Unassuming, off a side street when walking to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Seven Sisters Station – it’s pretty easy to miss. Take a chance as this north London drinking hole will be literally a HIVE of activity. The Beehive is already taking bookings…..

SEVEN: The Crown and Shuttle, Shoreditch

One of those post work pubs that thrives with a mix of city-based workers and tech savvy Shoreditch peeps – who knows what the vibe will be post lockdown. One thing’s for sure is that the atmosphere at the Crown and Shuttle will be awesome though. No reservations, so just chance your arm!

EIGHT: The Stag, Belsize Park

A Hampstead fave with cabanas in the back… The Stag will be heaving when it comes to April. Bookings can be made online for groups whether it be lunch, dinner or Easter as their famous roast returns.

NINE: The Cross Keys, Hammersmith

Hammersmith staple and another Fuller’s gem, the Cross Keys in Hammersmith has a great beer garden out the back that is perfect for a lazy afternoon. Bookings are being taken as we speak!

TEN: The County Arms, Balham

This south London beer garden is top of many people’s lists when it comes to outdoor Pimm’s watering holes…. If that’s actually a thing. Bookings are already being taken for April onwards at The County Arms, so you may want to get cracking!
