Valentine’s Week is here – booooo! If the thought of being sat opposite your date at some cheesy Italian restaurant, surrounded by a gazillion red roses and about 50 other couples all feeling equally as uninspired by the setting as you sounds like your idea of hell, well worry not! We’re here to give your Valentine’s week a much needed kick up the arse to make sure it’s an AWESOME one!
Color Me Badd – Anti Valentine’s Day
Join us on Valentine’s Day itself where we hold an open mic night embracing the TERRIBLE, cringe-worthy dating fails that we’ve all experienced whilst navigating through world of singledom. It is absolutely hilarious, so come and bring your best dating war stories (or just be there for the support and the laughs) set in an awesome location the Looking Glass Cocktail Club! We are literally on our LAST FEW TICKETS, so get in quick so you don’t miss out!
The Breakup Monologues
Fancy a giggle over stories of broken hearts? Don’t worry, it’s not as mean as it sounds! Get yourself down to Poplar Union on Tuesday night where they’re hosting a themed comedy storytelling: The Breakup Monologues featuring a cast of acclaimed performers.
The Bleeding Heart Ball
Step down into the dark underground of The Vaults in Waterloo for this giant of a party full of passion, enchantment and risk this Saturday night! This really sounds like one not to miss with gypsy folk and brass heavy bands, cabaret, interactive theatre performances, circus acts and sex tarot! It sounds utterly mad and we LOVE it!
We love this massive selection of activities Dulwich Picture Gallery has going on this Friday. Have your portrait drawn by their guest artists, listen to talks on how love has been explored through art. Join in on a secret message printmaking workshop or draw a dating profile pic of your mate from scratch plus LOADS more! You won’t be at a loss of things to do here, well worth checking out!
Swing East Valentine’s Ball
Get back down to Poplar Union this Saturday for some swinging! No, not that type jeez! Swing East are hosting a Swing Dance Valentine’s Ball starting off with a swing dance class led by the very aptly named ‘Shag Pile’, which is followed by a night on non-stop dancing! Sounds perfect!
Dare we say it? Happy Valentine’s to you all, however you choose to spend it!
