5 Cool London Date Ideas This Week 11/7-17/7
Who needs to dust off their Ryanair approved travel suitcase and head for warmer climates when London is basically an oven this week? For those looking at doing something fun with someone – here are this week’s cool London date ideas!
If you don’t mind getting down and dirty on a first date, you won’t fall FOWL by dragging your date to Wingfest at the London Stadium this weekend. Finger-licking fun in the heat may not be ideal for a first date for some – but it will definitely make for a memorable one.
If you’re a fan of canals – and let’s be honest, who isn’t?!? You’ll be excited to take your date to the East End Canal Festival! Expect boat trips (obviously) plus food stalls, various other entertainment and exhibitions. Perfect for a lazy afternoon of ambling along in the sun without any real plan.
Dirty Dancing – arguably the greatest movie ever made in the history of film is getting the full Secret Cinema treatment this month. Hit the gym and work on that upper body strength as no doubt after a drink or 2 you’ll be recreating the famous dance scene and lifting your date above your shoulders.
If you’re worried about not being funny enough – head down to Balham and someone else make your date laugh for you. The Balham Comedy Festival is hitting south London until Sunday the 16th with a number of seasoned comics doing their thing.
Gone are the days where you just go to a regular cinema to watch a movie. This being the case, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better summer cinema experience than the Floating Film Festival at St Katherine Docks near Tower Bridge. Featuring a number of newish, old, family faves and other mainstream flicks, the cinema is on for most of July…… Before it…. Ummm….. Floats away. I’ll get my coat.
Until next week!
