5 Cool London Date Ideas This Week 11/3 – 17/3

Top of the morning to ya!

This has to be one of the best times of year! The streets of London become flooded with a sea of green, as you pass the happy sight of thousands of giant Guinness hats floating past you, in the masses of people out celebrating St Patrick’s day. If the festival spirit has well and truly taken hold, then head to Cinnamon Kitchen for a taste of Holi festival. Read on for a week of date inspiration in the coolest capital city.

St Patricks Day Parade

No one celebrates their Patron Saint quite like the Irish! This weekend, Trafalgar Square will become Little Ireland as we enjoy a weekend-long celebration of St Patrick’s Day. Featuring a flamboyant pageant and parade, there’ll be live music, Irish Dancing and more pints of Guinness than you could shake a stick at! No doubt about it you’ll have the very best “craic”!

Brigadiers Match Day Experience

If the thought of the seething masses makes you shudder, then perhaps the complete contrast will be right up your street! Brigadiers, the colonial inspired Indian restaurant are hosting the ultimate match day experience. Watch the finals of the Six Nations at the with the luxury of having your own Beer Butler!

House of Holi

Let’s face it we’ve all seen pictures of the vibrant Holi Festival in India and have all thought how utterly fabulous it looks! Well now Cinnamon Kitchen are offering you a little taste of the fun at their city restaurant. You’ll get a 30 minute slot to adorn a boiler suit and pelt your pals to your hearts content! Then celebrate the fun afterwards with a cool Cobra beer and a delicious 5 course Indian feast.

Inside B*tch!

In the unlikely location of Belgravia, Inside Bitch is a thought-provoking performance that casts a light on the sad truth of what it is really like to be in a Women’s Prison in the UK. With a cast made up entirely of ex-offenders, this completely defies the way many think of prison, especially the way it is portrayed in shows like Orange is the New Black.

London Design Week

If last weekend’s trip to the Modern Show at Dulwich College sparked an interest in interiors, then this week you’d better make a beeline for the Design Centre. London Design week is on all this week, there’ll be talks from some of the most influential interior designers, exhibitions in many of the showrooms. Not to mention the Design Centre itself is a pretty impressive building, with the scrumptious Tatler Café making a return again this year.
