5 Cool London Date Ideas This Week 24/5-31/5 2021

It’s a bank holiday weekend week! The greatest type of week in the history of weeks ever! Soooooo, time to plan a cool date that doesn’t revolve around just “grabbing a drink”. Here are this week’s cool London date ideas to give you that creative spark!

The “PIZZA The Action” Date

When it comes to food on a first date, you can’t go wrong with Italian……. With the exception of maybe Pizza Express. So, Eataly (yep, EATaly) has finally opened in London at Liverpool Street Station. As someone who has experienced Eataly first hand in Italy, you are in for a treat! The best Italian food on offer whether it’s buy for home or grab something from one of the restaurants – you’ll definitely make a great impression. Oh, they  also do cooking classes for the more daring of dates!

The “It’s AL’ Good” Date

We’ve all been missing a bit of culture in our lives, so now that the V&A has opened its doors, people are flocking to see Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser. Take your date down the rabbit hole and immerse yourselves in various installations that will take you through the history of Lewis Carroll’s phenomenon. Tickets are £20, with the exhibition running until the end of the year.

The “Give Them the FLICK” Date

Cinemas are back, so why not go BIG…… Or go home. The BFI IMAX has opened its doors and is showing a number of cool things old and new. After months of watching movies on your tiny 52″ TV, this is definitely a better alternative to a standard dinner and a movie date.

The “All Your Ducks in a ROW” Date

With the weather *cough cough* getting better, doing things outside because we “want” to, not because we “have” to is a lot more appealing. Kayaking on The Thames is a double-edged sword….. Great fun, but fall in and you’ll probably catch something that hasn’t been invented yet. Anyway, we think it would be a great hands-on date idea, so dare to be different and take the plunge with The London Kayak Company!

The “Just SWING By” Date

The frustration of life in general over the past 15 months has made us want to pick up a bat and hit things as hard as we can. Why not take your date to Sluggers at Roof East where a batting cage allows you to do just that without the chance of getting arrested. You can also grab a drink afterwards with awesome views over East London making for a great atmosphere.

ENJOY!
