OK OK, you have 2 years worth of Halloween in your system BURSTING out ready to be unleashed this week. we get it. BUT, for those looking for a couple of date ideas that have nothing to do with donning a Harley Quinn or Venom costume…. You may be in luck! Here are this week’s cool London date ideas!

The “READING Between The Lines” Date

During such a digital age – book enthusiasts rejoice! The London Literature Festival is happening this until Sunday. Expect various talks, activities and workshops featuring distinguished authors and the like. This year’s theme focuses on friendship – so it may be worth calling someone you haven’t seen for a while and going on a friend date.

The “Give Them the FLICK” Date

Cinemas are open again. BUT, if the like of seeing Dune or James Bond doesn’t exactly float your boat – check out the London East Asia Film Festival. Featuring a number of new films, documentaries and features from across the continent in various central London cinemas…… And Chiswick.

The “Could Have BEAN Better” Date

For the big kids among us, there is a Beano exhibition happening at Somerset House! Dennis the Menace and Bananaman are just a couple of the characters taking centre stage in “Beano: The Art of Breaking Rules”. It’s on until March, so you don’t have to rush over this week. Tickets are £16 for adults.

The “Grass Isn’t Always GREENER” Date

The pull to spend time outside may not be as exciting as the days get colder, shorter, ummmmm…… Wetter. So, get the best of both worlds at the Conservatory x Akari Cloud installation at The Barbican. Featuring sculptures by Isamu Iguchi, it is one of London’s largest greenhouses. It’s on until early January, so you have a bit of time if you’re strapped this week.

The “FAIRY Good” Date (PICK OF THE WEEK!)

Fine! We’ve buckled and are adding something Halloween-themed into the list. Not your average skeleton-costumed cheese-fest, the Last Tuesday Society is hosting the launch of the launch of The Devil’s Botany’s Absinthe Regalis on Wednesday evening. Expect to learn all about London’s history with Absinthe Tickets are from just £5 and include a glass of Absinthe.
