5 Cool London Date Ideas This Week 28/3-3/4

As summer 2022 has already come and gone in London after last week’s burst of sun it’s time to plan for both indoor and outdoor dates. With that in mind,  here are this week’s cool London Date Ideas!

The “APPLE of My Eye” Date

Outdoor festivals are starting to creep into 2022. We may only be in March, but with the weather improving, the more ambitous event organisers are banking on the sun gods being incredibly kind sooner than later in the year. The Wandsworth Common Spring Beer and Cider Festival is happening this weekend for a great boozy date idea.

The “SOHOpeless Romantic” Date

Whether you’re London born and bred or fresh off the boat and crashing on a friend’s couch – there’s always something new to learn and discover about this great city. A walking tour is a great date idea – especially when it’s free! So, meet somewhere central and then head to Soho for the Sex, Drugs and Rock’n’roll walking tour as somebody else does all the talking for a while taking away all of the awkwardness!

The “Endless LOVE” Date

You can learn a lot about somebody by playing tennis with them. Fitness, Co-ordination….. Ruthless competitive side you didn’t know they had. Now that we are blessed with more daylight, why not hustle the courts and book a fun tennis date for an hour or so on an urban court for around a fiver. Lambeth is peppered with them including courts situated in Clapham Common, Vauxhall and Kennington amongst others!

The “WHISKy Off My Feet” Date

If you’re looking for something boozy….. But not so beer-focused, the Croydon Whisky Festival is hitting the deep south on Saturday. Expect whiskies from over 20 distilleries worldwide as you and your date get set for a very merry afternoon. General admission tickets are £35 each and include a few freebies.

The “BEAT Me To It” Date

A dancing date is definitely one of the biggest yardsticks you can have when seeing someone for the first time. Whether you have snake hips OR 2 left feet the fact you’ve had the confidence to put yourself out there is something not to be sniffed at. Hidden South London gem, Tia Maria is a Brazilian bar/restaurant that always hosts live music and has amazing food AND are now hosting a free Brazilian dance (Forro) class on Sundays. Apparently it’s like salsa but with a Brazilian twist according to the event page.

Until next week!
