 This Little Piggy

Chinese New Year celebrations kick off this week as we welcome the Year of the Piggy! The pig is a symbol of being hardworking, of optimism and enthusiasm! So if you want to see in the Year of the Pig as you mean to go on then head on down to Trafalgar Square this Sunday. With 50 floats taking part in a procession, Chinese dancers and dragons galore.

After Dark Delight

Or perhaps not so delightful… The Natural History Museum’s exhibition Life in the Dark is set to close in 2 weeks time. So if your curiosity is overwhelming, get yourself booked into this exhibition and meet the creatures that thrive in the night, in the deepest parts of the oceans and the darkest and creepiest places on the earth.  There are bat caves, a giant squid and the most enchanting bioluminescent display, that actually is delightful!

Deep in Deptford

Deptford is somewhat of a undiscovered gem! This South London secret is rich with history, since being chosen as the Royal Dockyard by King Henry VIII, to having celebrities like Kate Bush live there. This month the Deptford Heritage Festival will be a celebration of the area, featuring a BBC documentary filming, musical and other arts performances.

If it’s a laugh you want, then it’s a laugh you’re going to get at the brilliant performance of Ad Infinitum’s No Kids. A play around a same sex couple running through the motions of whether to have children or not. A thought-provoking and insightful play at Battersea Arts Centre.

Ahh Pisco, the spirit of deepest darkest Peru! Thankfully exported to the UK, so that we were able to fall in love with this delicious spirit and even dedicate an entire week to it! London Pisco Week has a whole load of activities on to celebrate this South American liquor, and if like us you are perpetually on the hunt for the perfect pisco sour – head to La Bodega Negra.
