We’ve perhaps let our sweet tooth dictate a lot of this week’s top London Dates, but with pancake day tomorrow how couldn’t you! This week we’ve gone from pancakes to doughnuts, from an independent film festival to some of the most iconic photography that’ll make you well and truly starstruck!
Possibly one of our favourite weeks of the year as tomorrow is Pancake Day! Obviously in true British style, the Brits are going bananas for all things pancake. No one more so than Better Bankside who are holding their annual pancake flipping relay. So grab your team and head down to Bankside to enter this fantastically British sport; all proceeds go to the local charity Paintings in Hospitals.
The only place to hold a mid-century furniture fair has to be Dulwich! Hosting the coolest interior show, you can hunt antique and contemporary mid-century furniture at Dulwich College this weekend. From chairs and tables to ceramics, wallpaper and curtains, it’s going to be a dreamy event for the eyes perhaps less so for the purse strings!
From pancakes to doughnuts, Leicester Square this weekend will be the home to the sweetest version of heaven. A grown-up playground cross fun fair will be popping up, to celebrate the launch of Krispy Kreme’s new Original Filled range. Taking place on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March between 11am and 6pm, get your cameras at the ready as it’s set to be mega Instagram-able!
Already a super crafty hub of London, Crystal Palace is cementing itself as a firm favourite of the capital. The Crystal Palace Independent Film Festival will be showing only independent films from across the globe. They’re set to show to coolest short films, documentaries, horror, musical etc. If you can’t find a film that you both like, then we’ll eat our hat!
Terry O’Neill’s photography has to be some of the most iconic in recent history. Having photographed the biggest stars throughout the previous six decades, Box Gallery in Chelsea will be holding a Solo Exhibition of many of Terry’s favourite pieces. From Frank Sinatra to Elton John and David Bowie, it’ll definitely make you starstruck!
