5 Cool London Date Ideas This Week 7/3-13/3

March is well and truly in full swing! And, as we now officially find ourselves in Autumn it’s probably as good a time as any to turn over a new LEAF and up your date night creativity

The “OFFER You Can’t Refuse” Date

If you have never seen The Godfather, now is as good a time as any. Being the 50th anniversary of Francis Ford Coppolla’s timeless classic, cinemas everywhere are cashing in with showings to celebrate. Whilst sitting through a 3-hour epic without checking your phone may not be high on the list of this generation’s things to do, seeing The Godfather on the big screen is definitely bucket list worthy. We recommend checking it out at The Screen on the Green in Angel on Saturday night!

The “In Good TASTE” Date

Food festival dates are an easy win. Wandering around eating street food definitely beats having to sit down at an actual restaurant facing each other for 2 hours. The Eat and Drink Festival kicks off at Olympia on Friday and runs for a couple of weeks and should definitely be on your to-do list…. whether you have a date or not!

The “Well-ROUNDed” Date

Tuesday March 8th is International Women’s Day and there are a number of cool events happening. We’ve picked out a great date idea happening at The Roundhouse in Camden that’s definitely worth the effort. The Songwriter’s Circle is an intimate acoustic session celebrating a number of accomplished songwriters who have written songs for some of the world’s biggest names including Corinne Bailey Rae, Jake Bugg and Macy Gray. Enjoy!

The “GRIME Me a River” Date

It’s Grime…. But not as you know it. Hootananny Brixton  is hosting Grime Orchestrated, a 15-piece orchestra (from the Brixton Chamber Orchestra) pumping out Grime faves from Skepta and Dizzee Rascal. It’s all happening on Wednesday night with tickets just a tenner!

The “STATE of Them” Date

One for the cultured-slash-culture enthusiasts! The Saatchi Gallery is home to “America in Crisis”, a famed photography exhibition documenting 5 decades of life in America also includes film and other installations as part of the 2022 edition. It’s on until early April, so you have a few weeks to drag your date along before it disappears.

Until next week!
