5 Cool London Date Ideas This Week 8/11-14/11

Short days, long sleeves. This week’s cool London date ideas will help warm up even the most cold-hearted amongst us (cheesy enough for you?).

The “Something HeBREWING Under the Surface” Date

We love a good independent film festival here at Smudged Lipstick. It also seems as though post-lockdown has given us a different one each week, so we’re clearly spoilt. Hit the UK Jewish Film Festival with your date to do something different and support something independent.

The “WHEELY Good” Date

If you haven’t swung by the House of Vans (yep, think cool shoes) in Waterloo then you’re missing out on a cool little piece of London that hosts everything from events to having a built in skatepark (obviously). This Friday the 12th they’re showing a documentary as part of a film festival that will definitely be a cool date night.

The “He’s So (second) HANDsome” Date

You can always get a good reading off of your date by what gets them excited during a good session of window shopping. Well, for the vintage fans you can drag your date to “clothes by the kilo” experts Second Life Fashion in south London that will no doubt be a good indicator as to whether it’ll work out…. Or not.

The “At Different STAGES” Date

Live theatre is always a cool dating staple. So, The Hen and Chickens in Islington is home to “Six Serpents and a Tarantula” all week. This all female cast has characters decided at the start of the evening via a spin of a gun meaning that no performance is ever the same. This sounds like fun!

The “Oh, My BEATing Heart” Date

For the live music fans, Ally Pally is home to some cool gigs this week. If you swerve away from London Grammar on Friday the 12th you’ll be able to catch London local Yussef Dayes strut his (incredible) stuff on the drums. A great Friday night date for those wanting to catch some unique live tunes.

Have an amazing week!
