5 Cool London Date Ideas This Weekend 21/6 – 23/6
Right, summer in London may actually happen.
Anyway, with this in mind it’s time to break the shackles, ditch the “drink somewhere” idea and take surprise your date by doing something DIFFERENT!
For all you live music fans looking for a cool gig to take your date on Saturday night, your search ends here. Harbingers Drum Crew are rocking London for the first time in Clapton and it’s going to be epic! A 16-person wall of drums will no doubt keep you both going until the early hours of the morning – with tickets at just £6 and limited – you may want to get onto it sooner rather than later.
Old school fetes make great dates. We’re big fans. Big. Fans. Vintage fairground rides, market stalls, street food and (most-likely) home-made preserves with tartan lids. Lots to do without the awkwardness of sitting across from each other nursing a gin and tonic. Oh yeah, this one’s in Kew…. Is completely run by volunteers AND supports 34 local charities. Go on!
Portobello, rammed at the best of times on a weekend is home to the Portobello Spanish Festival on Sunday. A great idea if you fancy a short tube ride to yummy street food and dance demonstrations whilst strolling around in the London *cough cough* sun.
I’m struggling with puns, ok. The Streatham Food Festival is into its 10th year. I don’t need to explain what a food festival is, you get that, right? It’s on until Sunday, so amble down with your date whenever suits.
OK, let’s be honest…. Heading to Canary Wharf on the weekend doesn’t exactly fill anyone with excitement – even those who live in Canary Wharf. BUT every now and then something actually happens in Canary Wharf that warrants the effort. The Midsummer Festival is on Friday and Saturday and is a great date idea. Live music, performances, workshops…. Your date would be crazy not to see you again.
Have an amazing weekend!
