5 Cool London Date Ideas This Weekend 30/8 – 1/9

The last days of summer are upon us – and London is really working hard to make them last as long as possible.

This week’s cool London date ideas are cooler than Barry White smoking a Cuban cigar.

Angel Canal Festival

The “CANal We Go For a Stroll” Date

One of my favourite stretches of London, Regents Canal between Angel and Victoria Park is hosting the creatively-named “Angel Canal Festival” is happening on Sunday. Apart from the usual diet of food and live entertainment, the floating market makes for a really cool date idea.

The “Don’t Be a JERK” Date

Food, canals…. I mean – there seems to be a theme so far. If chicken is your thing, then Jerk Fest in Hackney East on Sunday! It will be a messy day, so a first date will be a little bit risky…. And make sure you’re confident enough to wear a bib.

The “I Miss You a Whole BRUNCH” Date

Brunch, a favourite for…… Well….. Pretty much every couple since Adam and Eve is having its own festival, Brunchfest.

So, East London’s fave events venue, The Truman Brewery is hosting the pastry-based day out which includes talks, DJ and all the latest food and beverages in London’s half breakfast/half lunch culture.

The “It’s Going WELL” Date

It’s just that time of year where there happens to be a fair or festival breaking out somewhere in London. The Camberwell Fair is one of the better ones at least. Cool reggae music and a whole heap of activities and entertainment are well worth the effort.

The “We Just CLICKED” Date

It’s not all street food and canals this weekend. For a date with a little more culture, RichMix is hosting a photo exhibition from the Contemporary Balkan Art (COBA) for the next couple of weeks. It boasts some of the best native Balkan photographers covering a wide range of stories.

Have an awesome weekend!
