Smudged Lipstick Update – May 2020 – What’s Going On?


Hi everybody.

Most importantly, I hope all of you and those close to you are safe and well.

It’s hard to know where to start.

Firstly, I want to thank all of you for your support and patience during such an unprecedented time. The emails, texts and phone calls have all been received with so much appreciation – it’s hard to put into words exactly how much they mean to both myself and the team.

Nobody envisaged the year to unfold the way it has and being an events company and a small business at that, it has affected us as much as anybody else. I’m not somebody to just jolt into a reaction when it comes to needing to adapt our business. Our brand is the market leader in everything we do, so it is important to me that when we launch events online they are done inline with our core values.

Smudged Lipstick is built on the ethos of encouraging all of us to get better at offline communication. No matter how hard you try, an online event will never be able to replicate the atmosphere of an offline event. We will be launching a cool range of new online events very shortly. Some events will be free, some events will have a nominal fee and some will be test events for which we’ll need volunteers to help us iron out some of the kinks. If you sign up to our mailing list, you’ll be one of the first to know what’s on offer.

Whilst we don’t know exactly how long it will be before our events take their natural form again, know that all “pre-Covid” events will take place as they were intended. We aren’t going out of business anytime soon (sorry to our competitors), current ticket holders, you can sleep easy knowing that you’ll be able to come to our events before everybody else can.
