Storm Dennis may have ruined your weekend, but do NOT let it spoil the rest of the month because there is way too much to see and do. We have created a list of 5 February must see Pop-ups that you need to Pop-down in your diary. Take a look!
The “You push my BUTTONS” Pop-up
Nothing says winter warmer quite like Mexican sunshine and Wahaca are bringing it to Southbank. Cosy up in the Mexican Eye to enjoy a tasting menu of award-winning tacos and street food, all whilst surrounded with magical views of London’s most beautiful riverside. Each pod has it’s very own ‘press for margaritas’ button so you’ll never be short of a drink as you sip your way through a specially curated selection of tasty cocktails. Don’t forget to have a banging playlist ready as you are also given your very own Bluetooth speaker to get the fiesta started.
The “I’m SKETCHY and I know it” Pop-up
Life drawing is a great way to get your friends together to try something new and the team at Dr Sketchy are taking things to a WHOLE new level. They want life drawing to be more than just nude models and serious sketching. So, they have scoured the great city to find beautiful burlesque performers and bizarre circus acts before letting them loose on stage to release your inner artist. There will be plenty of time between sketching rounds to grab a drink and get comfortable whilst taking in some of the finest burlesque, comedy, music, poetry and quirky cabaret performances that London has to offer.
The “FEAST your eyes on this” Pop-up
Immersive dining experiences are regulars on the London pop-up scene, but you haven’t seen one quite like this before. Nomadic have created an outdoor dining immersion in a remarkable woodland setting in Buckinghamshire within an hour’s commuting distance of London. The location and menu are both kept top secret, but you can expect to dine in the middle of a stunning woodland glade on a large table carved out of a birch tree surrounded by ancient forestry, wild flora and fauna. You will also get a welcome drink and guided tour of the estate from their resident forager.
The “Paint the town CORAL” Pop-Up
In Venice, February is the month to celebrate the Italian Carnevale and Italian aperitivo masters Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto are bringing it to London. For a limited-time-only, The Coral Rooms in The Bloomsbury hotel will feature a bespoke menu of five cocktails, drawing inspiration from the vibrant and colourful Carnival character masks worn for the celebrations.
If you really want to get into the spirit of Carnivale, then join the Masquerade party that will be held on the 23rd February from 5pm where Riccardo Rossi of Rome’s Freni e Frizioni will be taking over the bar and presenting his Rugantino cocktail, made to celebrate the occasion. The evening will feature live music including reinterpretations of Samba Jazz, so guests can expect lively Italian Carnival songs with smooth Samba vibes.
The “SEVEN courses in Heaven” Pop-Up
When you think about the Hackney Coffee Co you may not think about a 7-course tasting menu produced by a star Chef but be prepared to change your mind.
